TIES Internet account subscriber information
TIES Internet account subscribers including family members using the account are required to follow TIES acceptable use policy. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the subscription with no refund.

Login and password 
Your login and password information is on the label inside the CD mailer. You will be asked to enter them when you configure the TIES software. You have been assigned a password. Passwords should be kept confidential. Anyone gaining access to your password will be able to use your e-mail and dial-up account.

The phone number you will use when accessing TIES is 651-765-8000.

Account limits
Your TIES subscription has unlimited hours of connection time per month. You and members of your immediate family may use your account. Use of your account by someone other than yourself or immediate family members may result in your service being terminated. Concurrent logins of the same account are not permitted. Unattended use of your account (line camping) is strictly prohibited. Processes run by your account must be run interactively. Unattended processes will be terminated. Bots and spamming are not allowed.

TIES help line telephone support is available at 651-999-6250 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Online help is available by sending e-mail to help@ties2.net and on the web at www.ties2.net/help.

Access to the Internet 
TIES uses PPP (Point to Point protocol) access, which provides a user-friendly, graphical software interface; access to news groups; ease of file transfer; and good e-mail capabilities. PPP access requires the following minimum workstation configurations:

PC systems:  Windows 2000 or better. To find this information, go to Start / Settings / Control panel / System / General.
Apple Macintosh: Version OS 8 or better. To find this information, go to your Apple menu, choose "About this computer" or "Mac."

Distribution of account information
TIES does not sell or distribute names, phone numbers or e-mail addresses of our subscribers. All information is kept confidential.

Refund policy
Requests for refunds because the client is dissatisfied with service must be made in writing to TIES Internet Service Department and must state the reason for the dissatisfaction. The balance of the contract will be refunded, less the nonrefundable setup fee. The refund will be credited to the user's Visa or MasterCard account when possible. 

Requests for refunds because the client is moving out of TIES service area must be made in writing to the TIES Internet Service Department and must state the reason for the request. The balance of the contract will be refunded, less a $15 cancellation fee. The refund will be credited to the user's Visa or MasterCard account when possible. 

Refunds will not be granted for nonuse by the subscribers unless reported technical problems prevent the subscriber from using the service. All problems must be reported immediately to the TIES Help Line.
